Our Educational Infographics

Our educational infographics have been designed to offer you a better understanding on canine body language using informative graphs and illustrations that are easy and quickly  to understand.
The aim of these infographics is to educate dog owners about how dogs show their emotions and feelings in order to prevent bites and unpleasant reactions.

Unfortunately, most dog bites happen by family or familiar dogs and small kids are usually affected mostly. That is why it's important that parents are aware of how dogs communicate and give them space before anything escalates.

Please feel free to study them and share them with any dog owners you may know.

Signs Before The Bite

Are you sure that you know the signs that a dog will show before they bite? 🐾

Dogs can exhibit subtle signs when they are uncomfortable that most of the times, go unnoticed by the majority of people.

Dogs will usually show a number of these signs when they need space and do not appreciate human interaction. Our job is to to able to read our dog's body language and respect them..

Never forget that they are living beings who have choices and character and that all dogs (no matter the breed or size) can and will bite if they are pushed to their limits.

Please take a minute and have a look at the educational infographic along with the warning scale at the bottom that clearly shows the sequence of the signals that a dog exhibits starting from the more subtle ones (green) gradually going to the more obvious ones (yellow), to the more intense ones (orange) and ending with the strongest ones (red).

Safety Guide For Kids & Dogs

Do you have kids or do kids usually visit your home and interact with your dog?

Maybe someone you know has kids?

If you answered yes to the above, this infographic is for you!

Numerous studies have shown that kids are 3-5 times more likely to get bitten by a dog than adults. Most of those bites come from a familiar and not a stranger dog.

This is particularly interesting as it shows that those dogs are usually pushed to their limits and they are left with no other choice than biting.

This is a very handy infographic that you are encouraged to read, share and even print out and give it to someone that might benefit from it!

It's a very simple and straightforward way to teach kids how they should deal, communicate and engage with dogs while they learn what behaviours make the dogs stressed, anxious and sometimes angry.

It's a safety guide that will hopefully prevent dog bites towards kids and also adults that is available to all of you from Woof Me!

Give Your Dog Space When You See Those Signs

Your dog is talking to you all the time. They communicate with you through their body language and facial expressions.

This handy infographic presents the signs that dogs exhibit when they feel uncomfortable and need space.

All these signs will occur when a person tries to kiss, hug or handle them in a way that feels a bit too much for the dog.
These are considered subtle signs of stress or discomfort and we are responsible to observe the dog's body language and stop any interaction when any or a mix of those signs appear.
If those signs go unnoticed and we continue whatever makes the dog uncomfortable, the signs will escalate and we will receive warning signs such as growling, snarling, snapping and in some cases they will extend to biting.

Being able to read our dogs, will strengthen our relationship and will build up more trust between us.
This is the key to create one of the strongest bonds with your dog.

Please have a look at this infographic and feel free to share it with anyone having or planning to have a dog.
